The Internal Path
My journey into understanding human potential began with my grandmother, Mrs. Carrie Kirk. She nurtured my earliest philosophical explorations, listening for hours as a curious child. She taught me that the mind is the only real limit.
I devoured stories about businesses in old newspapers, captivated by what made them succeed or fail. By age 11, I knew entrepreneurship was my path—not just to build companies, but to understand the engine of human achievement.
My path took an unexpected turn through professional basketball in Europe. That experience gave me a global perspective and, crucially, time—time to immerse myself in the works of Warren Buffet, Benjamin Graham, and other thinkers. I discovered that investing, at its core, is about discerning intrinsic value. That principle applies just as powerfully to our own lives.
The central lesson of my journey is this: Your current reality does not define your future. The boundaries are self-imposed. I've dedicated my life to exploring and teaching the inner work that allows us to break them.

True success is about legacy and lifting others. In 2020, I co-founded The New Tenth Foundation to address systemic inequity by investing in the education, mentorship, and empowerment of Black youth. We assist students in using their STEAM skills to create entrepreneurial solutions to community problems. The curriculum focus of these four pivotal areas, STEAM, Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy and the Humanities. We believe unlocking human potential is the highest-return investment we can make.
